Common HDMI faults
A damaged HDMI connector or fault in the surrounding HDMI circuitry can prevent a console from displaying correctly. An inspection may be required to determine whether the connector itself or another component is causing the fault.
The console powers on, but the television or monitor displays no signal or remains on a black screen.
The connector is bent, cracked, pushed inside the console or feels loose when the HDMI cable is connected.
The picture cuts out, shows visual distortion or only works when the cable is held in a particular position.
Impact damage or a previous repair attempt may damage pads, traces or components around the HDMI connector.

The HDMI connector and surrounding board area are inspected before the repair is confirmed. Where appropriate, the damaged connector is removed, the pads and traces are checked, a compatible replacement port is installed and the console is tested before return.
We inspect the HDMI connector and visible surrounding board area for physical damage and signs of previous repair attempts.
We confirm whether a standard port replacement is suitable or whether additional pad, trace or circuit work may be required.
The damaged port is removed and a compatible replacement is installed. Additional chargeable work is not completed without approval.
The repaired console is tested for stable video output and relevant console functions before collection or return.
HDMI repair pricing
The final cost depends on the condition of the HDMI connector, surrounding pads and traces, nearby components and any previous repair attempts.
A standard port replacement may be possible when the surrounding board is intact. Additional board-level work may cost more, but no extra chargeable work will be completed without your approval.
