Frequently asked questions
Common information about appointments, diagnosis, turnaround, mail-in repairs, pricing and warranty.
How long does a repair take?
Turnaround depends on the fault, parts availability and current workload. Common repairs may take a few working days, while board-level faults, liquid damage and difficult diagnostics can take longer.
An estimated timeframe will be provided after initial discussion or inspection where possible.
Is diagnosis free?
Initial contact and discussion about the reported fault are free.
Where a diagnostic or inspection charge applies, it will be communicated in advance. That charge may still be payable if detailed inspection has been completed and the repair is declined, no fault is found, or the device is considered uneconomical or impractical to repair.
Do you repair liquid damage?
Yes. Liquid-damaged devices can be assessed and repaired where viable.
Liquid damage can cause hidden corrosion, additional faults and later component failure. Warranty limitations may therefore apply to failures caused by pre-existing or continuing liquid damage. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. CyberConsoleRevive operates by appointment only.
Please contact us and wait for confirmation before bringing a device for drop-off.
Can I post my console?
Yes. Mail-in repairs are available across the UK.
Please wait for packing and posting instructions before sending a device. Customers are responsible for securely packaging the device and should consider suitable transit insurance.
What warranty do I receive?
Eligible repairs will normally include a 6-month warranty on the specific repaired fault where that warranty has been confirmed for the repair.
The warranty does not normally cover unrelated faults, accidental damage, misuse, tampering by another person, further liquid exposure or damage occurring after the device has been returned.
Some repairs may have different or limited warranty terms, particularly where liquid damage, severe corrosion or unusual board damage is involved. Any applicable warranty terms will be confirmed with the repair.
Nothing in the repair warranty affects your statutory rights.
Will I be charged before work starts?
Chargeable repair work will not normally begin until the work and price have been discussed and approved.
Guide prices and remote estimates are not guaranteed final prices because additional faults, corrosion, damaged traces, previous repair attempts or parts availability may affect the final cost.
Additional chargeable work will not be completed without customer approval.
Are the prices on the website fixed?
Prices marked “From” are guide starting prices rather than guaranteed final prices.
The final quotation is confirmed after diagnosis or inspection where required and before additional chargeable work begins.
What happens if my device cannot be repaired?
If a repair is not practical or economical, CyberConsoleRevive will explain the outcome and any applicable diagnostic or inspection charge that was communicated in advance.
No additional repair work will be carried out without your approval.
Should I back up my data before repair?
Yes, where reasonably possible.
Some diagnostic and repair procedures may involve firmware updates, resets or software reinstallation. Customers should not rely on a repair service as a substitute for maintaining appropriate backups.
How can I check the status of my repair?
Use the Repair status page and enter your CyberConsoleRevive job number together with the last four digits of the phone number used when booking.
Both entries must match before repair information is displayed.
Still need help?
