Important information
Terms & warranty
Please read these terms before booking or sending a device.
1. Appointments and authorisation
CyberConsoleRevive operates by appointment only. By leaving, posting or otherwise providing a device for inspection, the customer authorises reasonable inspection, testing and disassembly necessary to diagnose the reported fault.
2. Estimates and additional faults
Remote estimates and guide prices are provisional. A final quote may change after inspection if additional damage, previous repair attempts, missing pads, broken traces, corrosion or unrelated faults are discovered. Additional chargeable repair work will not be carried out without customer approval.
3. Diagnostics and declined repairs
Where a diagnostic or inspection charge has been clearly communicated in advance, that charge may still be payable if the customer declines the repair, no fault is found, or the device is considered uneconomical or impractical to repair.
4. Consumer rights and repair warranty
Repair services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Any CyberConsoleRevive repair warranty is additional to, and does not affect, the customer's statutory rights.
Any repair warranty applies to the specific repair work and fault described on the repair record. It does not normally cover unrelated faults, accidental damage, misuse, tampering by another person, further liquid exposure or damage occurring after the device has been returned.
5. Water and liquid damage
Liquid-damaged devices may contain hidden corrosion or damage that is not reasonably apparent during the initial repair. CyberConsoleRevive will use reasonable care and skill when inspecting and repairing such devices, but future failures caused by pre-existing or continuing corrosion may occur.
Any limitation of warranty relating to liquid damage does not exclude or restrict statutory rights where CyberConsoleRevive has failed to carry out the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
6. Data and software
Customers should back up important data before providing a device where reasonably possible. Some diagnostic or repair procedures may require resets, firmware updates or software reinstallation.
CyberConsoleRevive will take reasonable care when handling customer devices and data, but customers should not rely on a repair service as a substitute for maintaining appropriate backups.
7. Parts and cosmetic condition
Suitable replacement parts may be used unless otherwise agreed. Where reasonably possible, existing cosmetic damage, missing screws, prior repair work and other relevant physical condition should be recorded before repair work begins.
8. Collection, storage and uncollected devices
Customers should collect completed or unrepaired devices within a reasonable period after being notified that the device is ready.
Where a device remains uncollected, CyberConsoleRevive may contact the customer and provide written notice requiring collection. Reasonable storage charges may apply only where the customer has been told about those charges and the basis on which they may arise.
CyberConsoleRevive will not automatically treat a device as its own property merely because it has remained uncollected for a stated number of days. Any sale, disposal or other action involving uncollected customer goods will be carried out only after appropriate notice and in accordance with applicable law.
9. Mail-in repairs
Customers using the mail-in service are responsible for packaging the device securely and using an appropriate postal or courier service. Customers should consider suitable transit insurance.
Any return postage or delivery charge will be communicated before it becomes payable. CyberConsoleRevive is responsible for taking reasonable care of the device while it is in its possession.
10. Online and distance contracts
Where a consumer enters into a repair contract online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, statutory cancellation rights may apply.
Where applicable, the customer will normally have 14 days from the date the service contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.
If the customer specifically asks CyberConsoleRevive to begin providing the repair service during the cancellation period, the customer may be required to pay a reasonable amount for work properly carried out before cancellation.
Where the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period at the customer's express request, the right to cancel may end once the service has been fully completed, where the legal requirements for this have been met.
11. Approval and payment
Chargeable repair work will not normally begin until the customer has approved the quoted work and price. Payment terms, including any diagnostic, parts, labour, postage or storage charges, will be communicated clearly before they become payable.
12. Complaints
If a customer is unhappy with a repair or service, they should contact CyberConsoleRevive as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details shown on this website so that the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, put right.
13. Agreement and copy of terms
Before entering into a repair contract, customers should read these Terms & Warranty conditions and the Privacy Policy. Where a contract is agreed at a distance, CyberConsoleRevive will provide confirmation of the agreed contract information in a form the customer can keep, such as email.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.
